3-Wheel Licensing

If you are looking to learn to ride a 3-wheel motorcycle or if you've been riding and just need your license, this is the class for you.

The 3 Wheel Basic Rider Course is a research-based and action-oriented core curriculum designed to teach beginning 3-Wheel motorcyclists of all ages the physical and mental skills necessary to ride safely on the street.  This class is a licensing course as well as a skills course.

The curiculum includes basic 3 wheel motorcycle operation, maximum effective braking techniques, turning skills, obstacle avoidance maneuvers, classroom and range instruction at our dedicated ranges.  We do have loaner machines available.  You are also welcome to bring your own machine.  (The Amarillo location has no loaner units and you MUST bring your own machine at that location)

There is no experience required.  Sign up and show up with the appropriate gear.  You will be sent an email with a link to an online course.  Complete the online course and show up to your scheduled range (riding) portion of the class.  The riding portion is followed by a riding test.  You will have learned and practiced all of the skills that you will be in the test.

Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a completion card that you will take the the DPS license office and turn it in with your existing driver's license.  They will then add your motorcycle license (restricted to 3 wheel motorcycles). No further testing is required at the DPS office, you do it all in the class.

This class is offered at the Fort Worth, Lewisville, Amarillo and the Mesquite locations.

This class is ONLY for 3 wheel machines and only for a 3 wheel license!  Be sure to pick the correct class.
